On July 25th, 2017, Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) center in Ankara was visited by Second Secretaries Nakanishi Ryosuke and Takumi Suemitsu of the Japanese Embassy in Ankara. During the visit, Mr. Ryosuke and Mr. Suemitsu were witnessed first-hand how UNFPA Turkey and Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) partnership functions and how the center provides clinical, psychological and legal services to the refugee women residing in the vicinity.

2nd National Sexual and Reproductive Health Working Group Meeting took place in Ankara on July 5th, 2017. The meeting was organized with the partnership of Ministry of Health Women and Reproductive Health Department and UNFPA Turkey office. Among the participants were the relevant sections from the Ministry of Health, NGOs, and the associations operating in the field of sexual and reproductive health.

In Ankara, Hacettepe University Women's Research and Implementation Center (HUWRIC) is implementing 3 of the WGSS which are integrated to migrant health centers in collaboration with Ministry of Health (MoH) Provincial Public Health Directorate and funded by ECHO – European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid.
